Name: Erica's Guitar Coaching. Descripton:25 years experience, Rock-Blues-Jazz styles focused, heavily influenced by the rock guitar masters from the 60s to modern Rock. No pressure lessons, exercise/fun based. You learn at your pace. Teaching ages 13 and up, Younger students should start with a more structured teacher I believe. - Primary focus - Rhythm - This is the basis of all music. Lessons will slowly build up from basic rhythm patterns with basic chords to more complicated rhythm. ANY guitar player SHOULD learn rhythm first, you can't play music without it. My approach has been very successful with friends and family. - Secondary focus - Basic scale patterns and exercises. You will see me as an exercise coach more than anything. I want to guide you in the process of working out on the guitar. Along side - We will have discussions about music styles and concepts; how to be more creative with your chosen instrument. - Bonus focus - technician skills - I believe every guitar/bass player should know how to tech out their guitar. I will train on all the basics of guitar repair - string changes, neck adjustments, full intonations, basic pickup wiring. This minor knowledge landed me two jobs as a guitar technician, a very fun job. I want to provide that same opportunity to others; I have a skill, why not share it? My name is Erica Croucher. My goal is to raise conscious musicians that want change in the music industry. I have been a guitar player for nearing 26 years. I started as a cello player in my youth. As a teen I felt the Rock and Roll spirit and started learning on my own. Throughout my life's travels, to include 13 years of military service, I have been in a number of small club level bands. I've worked at several guitar stores as an instrument technician/Bronze level, performing maintenance on guitars, basses, ukes, and the occasional odd instrument. I have a very laid back style of playing and teaching. You WILL walk away with a deep appreciation for music, rhythm and definitely the guitar.
