Description

When your dishwasher starts to leak, or your refrigerator won’t cool,
is there a company out there that can be trusted to properly repair
your appliances?  And did you know that if you have an
uncertified, unauthorized repairman service your appliance, it can void
your warranty? Well, let me introduce you to a repair company that not
only I trust, but the manufacturers of your appliances trust as well – Appliance Service by Paul.

For over 30 years, business owner Paul Dodge says
he and his repairmen have maintained strong relationships with appliance
manufacturers such as Whirlpool, Maytag, JennAir, KitchenAid, and
Amana, and are currently Utah’s only certified and authorized repair
company of these brands.  Paul says it is mandatory that
every technician working for him is updated and trained regularly by the
manufacturers to maintain these relationships.

Washer/dryer

by on

Went to Appliance Service by Paul to get a heating element for a high end dryer. After being quoted $90 by a major company, the lady at Paul's knew exactly what we needed and was half the cost. My high end washer had gone out the day before (rough week). I had someone else scheduled to come out the next day. I cancelled them and had Appliance Service by Paul come out. Tech showed up as scheduled. Advised that he had researched the whirlpool error code and replaced two parts for FREE under a recall. Parts & labor, he didn't charge me a dime. Finished up in a hour, excellent work. No other places I called off ksl.com even asked for the error code.

Be wary

I have used Appliance Service by Paul in the past and have generally been pleased. However after my recent experience I will not use nor reccomend them again. Recently a tenant had an issue with a refrigerator. The tech shopwed up two days late. He spent less than 10 minutes, did no work and left. He called later to say the compressor was dead and he could not fix it; It is a 6 year old high end refrigertor $2000 new. Several days later a $100 charge was made on a credit card I had previously used with them. It took two weeks of unanswered calls and leaving messages before I finally had someone answer the phone to tell me that was the fee for the "trip charge" and they didn't need my authorization to charge my credit card. As a side note. I called another company after ABP said they couldn't fix it and they were there the next day, fixed it for a third the cost of a new refrigerator and warranteed parts and labor for 2 years.

Dissatisfied

My wife and I purchased an entire new kitchen from Appliance Service By Paul in October. It is now March and we still are missing a shelf to our fridge and hardware. We have contacted Paul numerous times only to be told repeatedly they will arrive in 7-10 business days. He promised to send a service man up to clean what was a dirty appliance and install missing parts. It is now 5 months later… he now will not return phone calls. Paul has appliances, but no service.
