Best Antiques in Utah!

Huge store full of antiques from lots of different dealers. Great place to go and browse for hours. This place is always busy (open Sundays too) and the staff is helpful, not pushy. I've sold some furniture here and my parents consigned some rugs and artwork. The buyers are knowledgable and if it's something they can use, they offer very fair prices. This store is a nice alternative to selling antiques online or on your own. Top notch!

endless antiques, open every day

My friend was visiting from Dallas and we decided to go shopping for antiques. After going to a few stores, we picked up The Collector paper and found Capital City Antique Mall. When we walked in the door, the staff was very friendly and offered to help. This place is amazing!!!! My friend collects military memorabilia and there was alot of it there that he bought. I collect Utah History and I was amazed at the assortment they have. Walking through that store was like going through a museum. It was also very clean. I appreciate having a store like that in our city. I will be a return customer for sure.

What A Rip-Off Place This Is

I went into this place last week to sell my grandmother's old jewelry and I was astounded at what the owner of this place offered me for it. I had more than $500 worth of expensive jewelry. She wanted to pay me $40. I would have been better to have taken it outside and smashed it to pieces then to allow myself to be ripped-off by her. Do not sell your jewelry to the woman who owns this place. She was rude to me and her offer was made as if I was doing her a favor. I promptly took my jewelry to another antique store and sold it for $180. And if you don't believe me go try selling something valuable at this place and you'll see what I mean. This place has a bad reputation but I thought otherwise until I went there. Now I know.

Owner response: We welcome feedback - good or bad, about our business. Our buyers are knowledgable antiques professionals who work hard every day to deliver prompt, courteous service. We cannot buy everything. We evaluate items and determine price on a multitude of factors: age, quality, rarity, our customer's demand and dealer inventory just to name a few. We are the busiest antiques store in Utah because of our reputation for fair buying and selling practices and excellent customer service. We don't always strike a deal when people come to inquire about selling. Obviously we didn't meet your expectations on the transaction but it would be surprising if you were not helped promptly and recommended to other possible selling opportunities for your items even though they weren't right for us. It's how we do it, all day every day at Capital City Antique Mall. Thanks for the feedback.
