Read Carefully the Contract

My mother in law was happy with their services because she just wanted the stuff gone. They came in and catalogued everything and she didn’t have to bother with anything. She left them to handle everything and they did. However, BUYER BEWARE-Be sure and read carefully the contract. To be fair I added my stuff to the auction, my mother in law was having so I took her word when she said the commission was 30% or $2.00 a lot. This seemed reasonable and fair. It turns out the commission was 35% AND $2.00 a lot. THAT DOES NOT SEEM FAIR!! Out of $103.50 they sold for me, I received $29.27. That is 71.71% that the Auctioneers received and I received 28.2%. I think that is unfair but it’s my fault for not reading the contract. This commission was in addition to the 10% buyers’ premium that they charged everyone at the auction. So they realized a 81.71% commission on the stuff they sold for me. I feel like they took advantage of an elderly lady. I certainly will never use them again.
