excellent local salon

Mary has cut and colored my wife's 2x now and each time it gets a jaw dropping reaction from me. Recently she has expanded to a full line of spa services too, which my wife received this last time. She says the service was outstanding... I say the results are AMAZING. The peek a boo coloring, just in time for summer, the shaping of the eyebrows, my wife looks amazing. Thanks to Mary for helping put that extra bounce of happiness in my wife's step. I always tell her she looks good... now she KNOWS she looks great. Oh, and the prices are amazing! This is services we can actually afford in the budget. Thanks again! Beau

I have been coming to Mary for a while now and she does an amazing job. Seriously. She's cut my hair extensions and done a great blending job. She's also help me get my hair to a very healthy state with her new products and hair dye. I love her deals and her shining personality. Definitely come here if you want a perfect hair experience.

I recently moved to Utah. Moving away from my stylist of 15-years was scary. I chose Harmony Salon & Day Spa for its proximity to my home and because of the good reviews! When I called for an appointment I was greeted by Mary the owner. She was so professional and asked the right questions to assess my needs. The Salon is cozy and you are immediately put at ease by Mary's warm and friendly demeanor! Her knowledge of hair color is impressive and the results I received far exceeded my expectations! I love my color and haircut! She is a true Professional! Mary goes out of her way to insure that your experience at her Salon is fabulous! What a great place to feel pampered! I'm looking forward to my next visit! I think I'll get a facial and have my nails done too next visit!

Mary does wonders with hair! She also has started a new service, offering spa pedicures and glitter toes! The girl she has working with her is so good, personable and fun! Even though she is still learning, she does a great job! I am going every month for pedicures!

I feel like she rushed through my service, with me sitting there, she was calling other clients to push back their times. I made it very clear during our initial phone consultation I wanted a highlighted color weave on my dark, thick head of hair. I even showed pictures of the cut and hair color I desired, but hoped to make it understood that the color might be darker due to the natural color of my hair. After arriving home, I analyzed my hair, as well as my boyfriend, and we decided it needed to be fixed due to the non-uniformed coloring. When I called it took a few days for her to respond but was told she would fix it. Once she was close to finishing with me the 2nd time, I was told to blow dry my own hair cause she wasn't paid twice to style my hair! Even though the first time she didn't style my hair completely, besides the fact I was going back! This was absolutely the worst experience I've had with a hair stylist and hope that this review will steer others away from this person!

Owner response: I tried my best to please this client. #1,I call my clients to let them know when I am running late. It is hard to determine how long a new clients hair will take from a phone call consultation. There was no one I could delegate to help me make calls. This client appeared to be happy with her hair when she left and tipped me well. Something happened between her leaving the salon and talking to her boyfriend. #2 Retouch bleach color weave requires caution as to not over process the already processed ends. Had I brought the color through the ends where she said it was uneven it would have destroyed the hair ends. #3 As far as cleanliness goes, I always SANITIZE my combs brushes and other tools to protect the client. #4 She asked for her money back and threatened to sue me, because I offered to give her her money back on her color but not on her satisfactory haircut. I saw her in the post office a week later. Her "awful" hair color had not been changed since I did it.
