Professional Math Tutor and Science Tutor in the Salt Lake Area

Introduction:  I am a 6th year PhD student and instructor in mathematics at the University of Utah. I have 10 years of experience as a private math tutor and science tutor.  I have tutored people of all age groups, ranging from elementary school students to graduate students.


Why choose Victor?  Math and science are often the most difficult subjects for most students, but having a good teacher makes a huge difference.  Many math tutors are simply good at math but have not learned how to teach the subject effectively, or studied about how the mind processes information.  My extensive experience in mathematics, science, teaching, and learning psychology has allowed me to help students in a way that most other tutors and teachers cannot.


More than Math Tutoring:  As a math tutor and science tutor, I have had the privilege of tutoring students in many other related subjects as well including business, finance, economics, health science, psychology, nursing, engineering, and marketing.
 
Price:  My rate is $60 per hour which is an amazing deal considering you'll be receiving one on one attention from a university mathematics instructor.  To save a little money, you may team up with another student and split the cost of the session.

Excellent Tutor

The professor of an MBA Stats course I took didn't give any lectures and just provided his "notes" in order to prepare for assignments and exams. I began tutoring sessions with Victor and I immediately realized how helpful he would be to my success. He explains concepts until they become intuitive. I recommend him to anyone seeking common sense and clear descriptions of even more complex material. While meeting with Victor, I overcame my test-taking anxiety in Statistics and I obtained one of the highest grades in the course.

Victor has been tutoring my daughter in math and science throughout the year. He was originally referred by the high school. He has done an excellent job and is very reliable. He has been extremely accomodating also with places and times for tutoring which was a huge help. He seemed very tuned in my daughter's strengths and weaknesses. Victor tutored me in Partial Differential Equations (PDE's). He was very knowledgeable on the subject and provided clear explanations. He fits a lot of instruction into a short amount of time, making his rate very reasonable.

I am a RN working at The U. I found Victor on KSL to help me with an 8 week medical statistics class. We met 8 times and he helped me through the class and I got an A! Victor is very easy going and will meet you wherever is convenient for you. I was admitted, to the hospital for a week during my stats class, and he came up there for our session! He is great!
