Newcastle is an academic preschool for 3-5 year olds. It is conveniently located just off I-15 in Draper. Parents from each of the south valley cities can get there conveniently in 15 minutes or less. Starting its 30th school year, Newcastle is considered the most comprehensive preschool in the Salt Lake Valley.
Newcastle features a multisensory structured language arts program. Our reading program includes visual (what we see), auditory (what we hear), and kinesthetic (what we feel) materials serving as pathways to strengthen reading, spelling and writing. Children participate in engaging activities teaching phonemic segmentation (auditory and visual recognition of beginning, medial and ending sounds in one syllable words.) New sight word and phonemic beginning readers are introduced along with fun upper and lower case letter individual and group activities. This systematic approach gives children the strongest possible foundation for learning to read.

Newcastle Preschool-Amazing school

Newcastle Preschool has truly been a warm, friendly environment. We are very appreciative to the delicate way each individual at Newcastle treated our daughter as she adjusted to her first year of preschool. My wife and I were nervous that she was to young. Sending her to preschool at three years old was one of the best decisions we have made for her social and learning development. They always have new things for them to learn and to develop there social and academic skills. We couldn't be happier with how much she has grown these last two years at preschool! Thank you Newcastle for all you do in making it such a wonderful thing for these kids! Tony & Traci Glick
The best pre-school in the region!

We looked for a good school for our daughter for a long time, until we finally found Newcastle. It is the only school in the entire region that has a really good program. Very different from typical daycare or Montessori programs. Our daughter absolutely loved it and we are very grateful for everything they did for her.
Best Preschool Around!!

My son has loved his last 2 years at Newcastle and doesn't want to turn 5 because he has to go to kindergarten! They are so organized and put together amazing programs and activities for the kids. My son has learned so much and comes home singing all the new songs he learns at school. His brother will definitely be attending next year!
We LOVE The Newcastle School!

All 3 of my boys have gone to The Newcastle School. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful they are! With our first son, we were so nervous and weren't sure whether to do a private (in home) preschool, Montessori, or what. So we searched and searched and never felt right. The moment I walked through the front doors of The Newcastle School with my little man, I was greeted by Kathleen and literally had to fight back the tears. I just knew this was the perfect combination of love, structure and play that we were searching for. Their Love & Logic approach, cleanliness, newsletters, playground, variety in learning, "on site" field trips, musical programs...and most importantly their teachers are absolutely outstanding. I really can't say it enough. Our baby is finishing off his last year there and we are just heart broken to be finished with such a wonderful chapter in our lives. They truly are the best!
Perfect Preschool for a well-rounded child

I chose this school after searching through all the other "big name" and local small preschools I could find. My son went there for two years and my daughter is just finishing her first year with them. They focus on academics, writing, play, music, and social interaction. My children already knew a lot when they started and yet I still saw them grow and progress. My son is in Kindergarten and reading 2nd grade level chapter books. My daughter who is 3 is already sounding out words. This comes from getting a good base and understanding letters and sounds. Having helped out a lot in the Kindergarten class I have seen the advantage this gives children. The director and teachers have been great to work with and my kids have always loved going to school here.
