They DO NOT repair
by User157441 on
They SAY they can repair. But they don't check anything. I described the problem and, their technician just told me that "He saw this recently and it will have to be replaced". He then quoted me $600 for a new opener. I payed $50 for the service call from Precision (I did not buy the new opener from them.) The whole time he was here he was also trying to up-sale me to new rollers for my door that were insanely over priced. I had a relative refer me to PricesDoors.com. I called them up and the first thing that technician did was take off the side of my garage door opener and take a look. After he opened it up he found that the problem was the "starter capacitor". I ended up paying $100 for the repair. FYI: PricesDoors.com's replacement openers were also around $350 (rather than $600). Their rollers were also much cheaper. In general, Precision Garage Door's is only going to try to sell you a new opener. (It may be a good one, I don't know.) But it will be expensive.

I can say they showed up on time but it was only to waste our time even after I asked them to stop with the inspection. The quotes I was given were not at all what the tech said the cost was going to be. I'm glad we went with another company.
