Name: Schlaich Flute Studio - Flute Lessons. Descripton:385-309-4995 Call/textI have developed the curriculum in my flute studio to be flexible yet challenging so that each student can progress to the best of their ability. I have designed structured practice routines for each stage my students are at that can be tailored to individual needs. I use methods to develop mastery in many areas including tone, intonation, articulation, technique and correct posture. I help students prepare for performances, band auditions, college auditions and overall better playing as a solo artist or ensemble work. I encourage participation in solo/sonata competitions.I hope to start free flute choir practice if there is enough interest and commitment. It helps the studio get to know each other and will be all levels together. We perform at a venue at the end of the semester, and select students will get an opportunity to conduct a selection of music. This will be based in interest or audition. This gives students of all levels a chance not only learn to conduct but to listen to other players, make suggestions, help develop and express musical interpretations in a positive environment.I graduated from Ball State University in 2010 with my Bachelors in Music. I am a member of the Utah flute association.I have studied with International Yamaha Performing artist Tracy Harris, as a professional flutist.I have studied privately under Dr. Mihoko Watanabe, Dr. Julia Mattern, and Dr. Leslie Maaser. Each mentor has had their own style and techniques for teaching music and has given me a very broad range of tools to use in teaching music.I have performed and participated in masterclasses for, Dr. Sandra Seefield (Miami of Ohio), Dr. Amy Porter (University of Michigan), Patricia George. Dr. Lea Pearson (Ohio University). In 2005, I was a participant in Sir James Galway's Lecture Series at Bowling Green University.
