Name: Backlot Film Camp. Descripton:This summer your kids will embark on an adventure that will challenge their creativity as they sit in the directors chair and learn all the ins and outs of basic film making. The camp is directed by BYU graduate Amber Lewis (former video production teacher at Maple Mountain High School, and owner of Amber Lewis Videography) and focuses on learning the basics of directing, writing, camera work, sound, lighting, and video editing; not to mention spending time in front of the camera as actors. Dates: June 8-19th (monday - friday, 9 am - noon) Premier: Monday, June 22nd (time and location TBA) Cost: $150 Organization: Filmmakers will be placed in groups of five and will be led by one of our personal instructors as they learn the basic ins and outs of filmmaking. During the first week they will each get to practice their hand at every skill as we prepare for our final video creation by making small video shorts. During the second week of camp they will be placed in a department to collaboratively create our feature video.
