Name: Children's Art Lessons. Descripton:Art helps children understand other subjects much more clearly... from math and science, to language arts and geography. I have a passion for art and love to teach others, especially children. Even for those who don't plan to become professional artists - art has been shown to enhance thought processes, combat ADHD, and build self-confidence. I am in my 2nd year at BYU studying art and plan to be an art teacher. I have experience with several mediums from charcoal to watercolors to ceramics. I also have experience with many different genres from classical landscapes to cartoon comic strips. I am especially skilled with portraits and love to "tell a story" through the human face. I teach kids the basics of art from shading, perspective, shapes, and lighting. But I also believe art should be fun and we can do many "craft-type" projects as well, depending on the interest of the students and parents. Join me as we learn about the great artists in history, geography, architecture, folkart, mulitcultural art and so much more. Most students come to me but I am also willing to teach in your home up to 10 miles from my home or school (BYU). Travel greater than 10 miles may be considered for 5 students or more within the same geographical location. Lessons are $15 for private and $7 for group lessons. Group lessons require a minimum of 3 students and are no greater than 7 students. There is a one-time art supplies fee of $25. Dates and times are subject to my semester schedule. Please call for available dates and times.I am also available for free-lance projects. Some of my past projects include school T-shirts design, business store-front, and graphic advertising for a gaming company.
