Group lesson discounts for three students or more! The method I use for teaching new students places emphasis on making music FIRST, while developing fundamental skills and technique, strength and dexterity, and CALLOUSES! The most common excuse that I've heard for people who stop learning how to play the guitar (next to "I can't") is that it hurts too much in the beginning. I understand this, and my method and plan helps to decrease the pain associated with practice, and increase the FUN in making music with this great instrument.Every student moves at their own pace, and in my experience, a lot of student's pace has to do with the reward they get from practicing, especially in the beginning. I provide incentive with levels and achievement points in order to 'light the fire' so to speak, but I also get the student ACTUALLY PLAYING MUSIC on the first lesson, because after all, music is the ultimate goal and therefore the ultimate reward.I break playing guitar into very simple concepts and 'tricks,' if you will, which begin small and slow as fundamentals, and build from the basics step by step into the more difficult techniques. Playing the guitar, and even getting good at it isn't rocket surgery, and I believe I can break through most of the mental blocks and misconceptions that make people believe it's difficult. PLAYING GUITAR IS TOO FUN TO BE HARD!The first opportunity for the student to earn their yellow belt is week 5. SONG WEEK! If any truly fail to earn their yellow belt, the next lesson's on me!After yellow belt, the real good times begin!
