I am an experienced private violin instructor focusing on beginning and intermediate students. I took private lesson for ten years from John Chatelaine, former principal violinist of the Utah Symphony. I was regional sterling scholar winner in music and received a full tuition scholarship to BYU where I played in the symphony. I have performed in renowned concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York City and Abravenal Hall in Salt Lake City. Music is a joy in my life, and I love to pass that joy on to others. I have been a high school English teacher for the past three years but have made the choice to stay home with my family and focus on private violin instruction.
I charge a monthly fee of $60 or $15 per lesson for a half hour lesson (suggested for younger students and beginners), and a monthly fee of $70 or $17.50 per lesson for a 45 minute lesson (suggested for starting older students or intermediate students).
I use Suzuki books, but do not strictly adhere to the Suzuki system. Call or email at firstname.lastname@example.org to set up an initial conversation to find out what would best fit your needs.
