I work as a scholarship counselor at a local high school. I also do private meetings with student and parents to help them figure how to start preparing now for college. Whether your student is in 9th grade, 12th grade, or has been out of high school for a few years, The meetings will be tailored to each student based on their biggest needs. I will help them identify their strengths and areas for improvement. We will create a resume to track activities, competitions, extra curriculars etc. I will educate them on what they need to work on for the coming years to optimize their opportunity of college, and I will provide information on the colleges they like. We will address any concerns they have such as work load, classes, grades, GPA, and activities and create a plan and goals to help them improve. The biggest emphasis will be put on preparation for scholarships and college admission. For the parents, we will sit down and discuss savings, expenses, Federal Aid, State Aid, loans, scholarships, and grants. There is a lot of information out there, and I will bring the best of it to you to help make the process easier for everyone involved.
Any questions are welcomed!
