The Davis County Animal Care & Control has two funtions: Field enforcement (officers) and the shelter where stray and adoptable animals are housed.
Our ten Animal Control Officers serve the entire Davis County area. They enforce all of the animal related laws in each city. Officers respond to an average of 10,000 calls each year.
Our shelter staff works hard to care for over 4,300 animals that come through our shelter each year.
The other services include selling pet licenses, administering vaccines, microchips, owner redemption, animal surrender, owned animal euthaniasia, and animal adoptions. Our animal shelter has a robust volunteer program that helps the animals in our shelter.
