1. Private and semi private lessons:
2. I also have a really great opportunity for those intermediate-advanced guitarists wanting to take their guitar skills to the next level. It's called "Jam Group".
Danny and I teach students not only how to play different parts with multiple instruments on songs, but also to improvise and create their own music by learning to use scale patterns up the neck. Understanding this, along with a deeper knowledge of musical keys and rhythm, will allow students to jam with other musicians. We will use a drum synthesizer and each student will be instructed on the bass guitar and will take a rotation playing it in jam group. Students can use an acoustic or electric guitar at jam, if electric, they’ll need to bring an amp. This experience could be had in place of private guitar lessons. Students will be receiving more advanced instruction and will be receiving weekly practice assignments by email.
These prerequisites for Jam Group are preferred:
students should have all basic chords memorized: A, Am, A7, B, Bm, B7, C, D, D7, Dm, E, Em, E7, F, F-Full barred chord (power chord shape), G, G7.
We will learn a lot of scale patterns. Students should be willing to practice them a lot.
Students should be comfortable with different strumming and picking rhythms.
- Read tab.
Students should have a solid practice schedule of at least 25 min. daily and have a desire to increase their skill set on the guitar.
Jam group is held Wednesdays 5:30-6:30 PM in my home (in the Ranches of Eagle Mountain). Tuition is $75/mo.
