I am Lana Richardson. I have had a strong passion for emergency preparedness for many years. I lived in Tonga, a small third world country in the South Pacific for three years. Tonga was sometimes devastated by hurricanes, earthquakes, and tsunamis.
Our drinking water was collected from rain water that drained from her roof to a storage tank. It had to be boiled because of the insects, rodents, and dead birds that polluted it.
While there I gave birth to a baby boy in very primitive circumstances. After returning to the U.S. my husband was injured and was out of work for 5 months.
With all I have been through, I have felt a strong need to find out all I can about being prepared for disasters. I have now written and published a book on emergency preparedness. I love to help others learn and become more prepared.
I have had my own emergency preparedness business for over 10 years now.
