Ferry Family Strings has been performing at weddings, receptions, dinner parties, holiday gatherings, art shows, and funeral/memorial services for over 15 years. We are skilled across a range of music genres—classical, sacred and uplifting, popular, fiddle and folk, broadway and old love songs. We perform as solo violin, solo cello or in an ensemble of your choice--duo, trio or full quartet. We serve Northern Utah (Logan, Brigham City, Tremonton, Ogden, etc.) as well as the Salt Lake, Park City and Provo areas. We have provided music at receptions held at Stein Erickson Lodge, the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, Maddox Lodge, the Lion House, White Memorial Chapel, the Lavender House, Provo City County Building, Red Butte Gardens, etc.
The Ferry’s (ranging in age from 28 to 13) have been featured as guest soloists with the Utah Symphony, the Utah Valley, American Fork and Murray Symphonies, and the Nacht Musika, Westminster and Lyceum Chamber Orchestras . We have won numerous local, state, national and international competitions and have concertized in NYC, Indianapolis, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Hawaii, Ohio, Massachusetts, Italy, France, Belgium, Poland and the Czech Republic. We have performed on KBYU's live radio “Highway 89” as well as on NPR’s nationally syndicated radio show, “From the Top.” The five oldest Ferry’s have gone on to either major or minor in music on the collegiate level at the University of Texas, the University of Maryland and at BYU.
