I give lessons at 57 North 200 East in Smithfield in a fenced pasture. Lessons start May 15, 2017. Weather permitting, I may do a few earlier then this in the evenings. I have a Bachelors Degree in ADVS Equine Science and Management with a minor in agribusiness. I have also done competitive riding through the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) and placed in the top ten on a National level. I have been teaching lessons for 9 years and have some openings this summer. Lesson pricing are as follows:
$45 for an 1.5 hour personal lesson.
$30 per person for 1.5 hour group of 2 or 3 people.
Lesson times include tacking and untacking, warm up and cool off (cold hose if its hot outside)
For ages 8 and up. Riding with a helmet is always recommended.
I teach how to work with the horse in Western, English and Beginning Jumping.
Note: If you are interested in jumping, I must feel like you are ready to jump in a safe manner. You will have to be able to preform certain tasks before you are allowed to jump example: ride around in a 2-point position without hanging on the horses mouth and maintaining balance. ALL jumping riders MUST wear an appropriate equestrian helmet.
