I am in Orem near Bonneville Elementary at 800 W and 1400 N. I am only 0.8 miles from the 1600 N exit.
I taught grades K, 1 and 2 in Alpine School District for 6 years. I loved teaching. I am something of a perfectionist and found myself working 10-12 hour days, which didn’t work well with a child at home. I decided to stop teaching full time to be able to be home with my daughter and begin teaching preschool. Essentially, my preschool program is my kindergarten curriculum cut into a 2 day/week program. I really have so much fun using my skills and abundance of materials to teach little ones to be successful.
letters/sounds, sight words, streching/blending sounds, syllables, story writing, number writing, 1 to 1 matching, simple adding/subtracting, patterns, shapes, colors, sorting, and a love for science.
I teach letters out of sequence so that I can quickly move into teaching sight words. After a few weeks of learning sight words we will begin reading simple text. I create and send home books designed for your child. YES, YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN TO READ. I love teaching children to read.
I have worked with large classes before, but now I get to do this for fun. My classes are small. I think it is the best scenario for everyone. I get to work 1 on 1 with children & give them the attention they need.
I teach, re-teach and reinforce so that children get a firm grasp of concepts.
Preschool needs to be fun! Games and songs can be powerful teaching tools. I create and send home games frequently. Games reinforce letters, sight words, and phonic skills. My preschoolers LOVE my games.
There is a one time registration fee of $50.
Class is offered M/W 9:30-11:30 $65
