Quickly becoming one of the most sought after studios of the Salt Lake area, Massey Studio has established a reputation amongst its colleagues as a premier training ground for performers and ambassadors of music. From its opening in 2012, Massey Studio has become a recognized model of instrumental study that balances excellence in performance with pragmatism. Recently contracted by the Intermountain Children Strings, Massey Studio coached 20 violinists in preparation for their Spring Concert Gala to an audience of 800.
A recent graduate of Utah State University, violinist Jesse Massey has concertized throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and Africa. In 2011, he received the appointment of Concertmaster for the Utah State Symphony Orchestra, a position which he held until graduation. An avid chamber musician, Mr. Massey has worked in masterclass with the Emerson and Shanghai String Quartets, as well as James Dunham, and Arnold Steinhardt of the Cleveland and Guarneri String Quartets, respectively. Recently, Mr. Massey collaborated with New York's Young Concert Artist's Composer in Residence, David Hertzberg, in a premiere of his work entitled "endymionis somnum dormire" for Soprano and String Quartet at the Aspen Music Festival and School. Mr. Massey is currently a student of Robert Waters (Fry Street Quartet) and performs on a Georg Meiwes violin dated 2006.
