If your child can't be home with you, the next best place is their childcare--but it shouldn't be a large center where he/she gets lost in the crowd. I believe each child deserves a loving home to spend their days in, and the ratios should be small, so that each child gets the one-on-one attention and interaction they need. That is how I structure my home and business. My numbers stay small so that it doesn't become an overwhelming house of chaos, and each child can feel secure and loved when they come into my home.
My rates are comparable for this area--$22/day for a single child or $35/day for 2 siblings. My hours are typically 6:30a.m.-5:30 p.m.. Hours can be somewhat negotiable. I provide much of what is needed so you don't have to haul half of your house for your child(ren) to come.
My home is child/baby-proofed and child/baby-oriented. For preschool-aged children, some preschool-type activities are provided throughout the week as well.
I am currently in the process of becoming a licensed provider with the state of Utah, and am updating my CPR certification.
I have 8 years of previous child-care service in my own home, as well as 20+ years of living in/around an in-home daycare, which I was always assisting and a part of--it's in my blood and I love it!
