Wage theft is all around us. We represent employees in their claims for unpaid wages and overtime wages. Many employers fail to pay wages for all hours worked (i.e., require employees to work off-the-clock). For example, requiring employees to perform work-related activities before or after the shift, or working through unpaid meal breaks. Many employees are wrongly misclassified as exempt from overtime and not paid overtime. For instance loan officers have been illegally classified as “exempt from overtime”. Nurses and LPNs have been wrongly classified as exempt when they were not, thus depriving them of overtime wages.
