R&R Aerating & Power Raking. $40.00 for each service for an average size yard, up to .25 acre. Average Lawn size on a .25 acre lot is 4000 to 4300 sq. ft/ Larger lawns slightly more. * We proudly serve West Jordan and South Jordan. Additional Charges may apply for other locations.
* We are unable to do lawns that have exposed roots or roots that are within 1.5 inches of the top of the soil, or lawns with steeper slopes.
We recommend mowing your lawn 24-48 hours before having it aerated or power-raked. When aerating, a light watering 1-2 days in advance allows for better plugs to be removed. When power-raking, we recommend that the lawn itself not be wet, as this causes more grass to be removed along with the thatch. * Please note, we do not pick up or remove the thatch that is brought up after power-raking
We need a minimum of 35 inches wide access for our machines. Due to the weight of our machines, we are unable to do lawns with a steep slope.
Compare our service to all others. We use Aerator's that deliver 12 holes compared to 6-9 for other aerators. Why Aerate/Power Rake? Even with the best care available, lawns can thin out and lose color due to excessive thatch buildup, hard or compacted soils. Aerating/Power Raking is the best treatment to control thatch, reduce compaction, fill-in bare spots and revitalize growth. Such things as dead grass roots, old grass clippings, leaves are referred to as "Thatch Build-up". These congested materials settle and compact underneath live grass making it difficult for oxygen and other nutrients to reach starving roots. By removing this debris it will not only help to reduce watering time but will also assist your lawn in absorbing fertilizer and other natural nutrients that are needed for a lush healthy lawn.
