$30 per lesson, however long that lesson needs to be... anywhere from 1/2 hour to 2 hours.
I emphasise making music right away, and learning the theory behind the sounds along the way. The guitar is a lot easier than people think it is, and I can prove it to you! Afraid of the pain? I understand. If you practice the way I show you, it won't hurt as much, and you will more quickly build the 'callouses' you need to practice longer. And you'll be making actual music the whole time.
Beginners: Be prepared to practice on your own at least 40 minutes a day, 10 minutes at a time the first week. The second week, 1 hour a day, 15 minutes at a time. Within a month, you will be playing guitar, and you will know how to learn how to play better by yourself! Stick around, and I will divulge my secrets to learning how to sound like a guitar player, and not just some guy (or gal) who plays guitar!
Intermediate students: You already know what you get when you practice, so I don't have to push you! Struggling with hybrid picking? I have a teaching method that I believe can crush the learning curve and have you picking competently in a fraction of the time with the same amount of practice.
I do not place emphasis on 'mimicking' or emulating other artists. I encourage listening to great music, and recreating it in your own style, your own voice, and from your own heart from the beginning. If you learn three chords, you can learn to play those three chords in hundreds of ways, which are literally hundreds, if not thousands of different songs.
Guitar is not Rocket Surgery! Let me prove it to you!
