Name: University Of Utah Dermatology - Clinical Trials. Descripton:Currently we are seeking volunteers for several RESEARCH STUDIES at University of Utah Department of Dermatology involving an investigational medication for people who have psoriasis. TOPICAL PSORIASIS STUDY: If you have PLAQUE PSORIASIS and you are at least 18 years old, you may qualify to join this RESEARCH STUDY. YOU can help with research of a new investigational medication for psoriasis. Volunteers will apply the study ointment once or twice daily to areas with psoriasis. This study has about 8 office visits over a 20-week period.UNCOVER-3 STUDY: You may be interested in learning about a clinical research study of an investigational study medication for symptoms associated with plaque psoriasis. The purpose of this clinical research study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of an investigational study medication for the symptoms associated with plaque psoriasis.You may qualify if you:Are 18 years of age or olderHave been diagnosed with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis for at least 6 months Have not previously taken etanercept (Enbrel®)In order to qualify, there are other requirements that must be met.Qualified participants will receive all study-related medical care and study medication at no charge. VASCULAR INFLAMMATION IN PSORIASIS: The study is assessing the effect of adalimumab (Humira), when compared to NB- UVB phototherapy or placebo injection.The study will compare the effects of each on systemic inflammation and cardio- vascular disease risk factors in subjects diagnosed with moderate to severe psoriasis.You may qualify if you meet the following criteria: Are at least 18 years of age or older Have had a diagnosis of psoriasis for at least 6 months Have psoriasis that covers 10% of your body Study-related visits, medications, and tests will be provided to you at no cost if you qualify.
