I started this company in 2015 after having great success training my own personal dog and being asked by others if I would be interested in training their dogs.
My training style is always evolving as I continue to learn and develop my skills as a dog trainer. In March 2016 I graduated as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer from Animal Behavior College. I have also had the opportunity to learn from some of the best trainers in the country. In October 2015 I attended a training seminar in Tucson, AZ where I was able to learn from Chad Mackin and Sarah Dixon at their Bridging the Gap workshop, March 2016 I attended a workshop titled Dealing With Difficult Dogs in Draper, UT with Heather Beck and Jason Vasconi. I had also the opportunity to shadow Bethany Tracy in Orem, UT as well that month and learn from her at her training facility. In August 2016 Bethany hosted a training seminar titled Behavior Troubleshooting that was taught by Chad Mackin that I was able to attend as well and I will be attending another workshop in December titled The Puppy Puzzle presented by Sarah Dixon and Brittany Brauer.
My training style is a little different to other dog trainers in the area. My approach to training is very much relationship based and my focus is on getting dogs to behave because they want to please rather than to avoid correction or because they want something out of it, like a treat. I have been taught a variety of training methods and techniques and so far have found relationship building to be the most successful and rewarding for both dog and owner. I have been well trained and have become very skilled with a variety of training tools and promise to use only the tools that your dog responds best to without showing signs of fear or stress.
