Name: 1444 Yuma Street. Descripton:Learn from the comfort of your own home with the Crotty Music Studio. I travel to homes and other public locations in the Greater Salt Lake area to teach, inspire, and engage students within the world of classical and modern music. My goals are to - Develop the whole musician: a. Aural skills (the ability to understand the patterns one hears) b. Knowledge of music theory (a technical understanding of what one is performing) c. Rhythmic, pitch, and dynamic accuracy d. Expressiveness (the unique touch each student infuses into a familiar piece) e. Confidence in performance - Instill an enduring appreciation for art music (classical or other sophisticated forms thereof) - Instill a lifelong passion for learning My peripheral goals are to -Create an environment where students look forward to practicing, to studying theory and other music related topics and to each new lesson. -Help students develop traits that will aid them in all other academic pursuits.
