Descripton:Andrew Clement is now accepting students at his new location in Salt Lake County!Andrew currently plays with the Salt Lake Symphony (since 2015) and is the principal cellist. He plays for all of the concerts and fundraisers to help promote the arts in his area. I have over fifteen years of teaching experience. I teach students of all ages and levels, from Twinkle to the major concertos. My teaching method and style allow me to tailor lessons to you and your progress. I firmly believe in a healthy balance between technical work with scales and etudes to aid you to play your pieces to the best of your ability. I graduated from BYU in Cello Performance in 2009. I was the principal cellist of the Philharmonic Orchestra. I also participated in the Chamber Orchestra with whom I traveled on tours to Central Europe and the New England states. I also performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra as one of the soloists in Evening of Concertos in 2004 performing the first movement of the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1. In 2007, I was chosen to be part of the Honors String Quartet. I have received instruction from cello professors at BYU, the U of U, and Northwestern University.I have won the ASTA Utah Solo competition (Junior division-2003, Senior division-2008) and I was runner-up in the MTNA Utah Young Artist division.
