Name: Roan Tutoring, Test Prep, Academic Consulting. Descripton:Roan is dedicated to enabling people to reach for their dreams by providing strategic academic planning, tutoring, test preparation, admissions consulting, and interview skills. Dawn Roan lives for the light-bulb moments when students grasp a concept that has long eluded them! She is a gifted test-taker and teacher with 22 years of tutoring experience and 18 years of classroom teaching and curriculum development. Dawn scored a 30 on the ACT in junior high without any prior study. She taught herself BC calculus and scored a 5 on the AP exam in high school. Her former math teacher then asked her to write the curriculum for the high school's BC calculus course. Dawn was accepted to both Harvard University and MIT. As an undergraduate, she worked in Harvard's admissions office, and after graduating, she served on the schools committee for the Harvard Alumni Association of Utah for several years. Dawn teaches test preparation for the PACT, PSAT, ACT, SAT, SAT II, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, DAT perceptual ability, and occasionally the rest of the DAT, the MCAT, the PRAXIS, and other exams. She tutors mathematics through calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, and advanced algebra; physics through AP; chemistry through college; biology through college; college-level anatomy; college-level physiology; English language and literature through college; reading; writing; history; and basic Russian. Dawn taught for BYU's TestPrep program for seven years. She also developed Timpview High School's ACT Prep course. Dawn helps students develop academic plans and assists with admissions processes and paperwork. She works with students of all levels both in person and remotely via phone or Skype.
