Descripton:As a state contracted agency through Division of Juvenile Justice Services (DJJS) and Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS), our focus is to help troubled teens overcome problems such as substance abuse, behavioral issues, negative thinking patterns, and educations road blocks. We strive to teach youth the appropriate boundaries, social skills, and independent living skills in order to promote health, responsible adults. We seek to connect the youth with our resources, as well as community resources, in order to accomplish those goals. This system is based off each client’s personal values and needs, and is implemented both in therapy and in the home. With their therapist’s help, each youth establishes personal values upon which they can improve. They then work with their therapist and proctor (foster) families on weekly assignments to help them be successful. We work with the youth in our program to learn the same living skills as those taught in our independent living homes. We feel these skills are equally important to both youth groups. Independent living homes Our independent living homes are also individualized to help each youth become self-sufficent.
